ZIWAPHI • VOL 4 NO 7 • 9 - 22 APRIL 2010
It is disappointing the way the media is sensitizing this matter as a racial matter or political matter. We agree Terreblanche was a human being but with a history against humanity. We convey our condolences to his family and friends. However the truth must be told about Terreblanche's history. He killed, assaulted and abused many black people mainly the farm workers. Terrablanche and his friends never appeared before the Truth and Reconciliation even after his release from prison as a born again, he never apologised to the families and the orphans for the pain they have caused to them and the nation.
The media’s obsession or hatred for Julius Malema is very dangerous for the country. Attaching Julius to this murder will never assist us in addressing the real issue concerning the farm killings and the killings in general. We know very well that the North West has been on the news since the democratic dispensation about the abuse and exploitation of the farm workers, inhuman farm evictions and nothing was done about done about this. The former Premier of Mpumalanga comrade Thabang Makwetla when he was still a MEC for safety and security made analysis about the farm killings and he was under attack from the media and the AGRISA. We know that many black businesspeople were killed by their employees and ordinary black people are still dying from the violent crime in South Africa. We condemn these acts of violence from anyone, the rich bourgeoisie being black and white must do some introspection about the way they treat the workers and their relationship with their workers.
We never revenged the dead of CHRIS HANI and many more innocent South Africans who died in the hands of white people. We condemn the opposition parties for sensationalizing this matter as racial polarisation, they must remember that their organisations were formed on the pillar of racial and class segregation that is DA, FFPLUS, ACDP and COPE and they started racial polarisation. We warned all those who seek attention by diverting this matter by linking it to comrade Julius Malema will lead to serious defiance by young people and they will sing this song if irresponsible leaders continue to incite them by continually undermining our history and our liberation movement.
We support the ruling party in calling for a national dialogue on the issues of songs and other traditions of our liberation movement because we feel that people want to undermine our movement through the conservative and untransformed courts. We know that our courts are sentimental, they never use the historical facts as they did with the COPE VS ANC over the name, the court robbed the people of this country their historical inheritance and they awarded it to COPE; the ruling was supposed to be against both the ANC and COPE because the Freedom Charter and its history belongs to the people of South Africa not political parties, that is why it formed basis of our constitution.
We have sung these songs in every conference of our movement, including the alliance but nobody went out of the meeting to kill white people therefore the linking the song to the killing have no political basis and it cannot be traced in our history. Terreblanche said he is not a racist but a nationalist who defended his own and there is a common denominator between Malema and Terreblanche both of them are defending their own and are not racists just Nationalists .who do not hate others
We call for an investigation on the working condition of the farm workers in South Africa, including the child labour in the farms evidently by the arrest of a 16 year old that is supposed to be protected by the South African labour laws. We further call all South Africans to join hands in fighting crime because crime has no colour affects every race. Let us isolate racists whether black or white who want to drag our country down. We condemn the utterances made by the AWB which vowed to revenge the dead of Terreblanche through their history we know they meant to kill black people and we hope our security agencies will take this threat very seriously.
